Hello all, new to this forum. I have a opportunity to purchase a 2013 king quad 750 axi with less than 500 miles. Looks to be in pretty decent shape. Is there anything as far as known issues or problems that i should be aware of with this atv? i was looking at brute force 750s before and seemed like there was a whole bunch of things so i just wanted to check with you guys that know alot more about king quads than i do before i pull the trigger. It will be used for yard and hunting with the occasional trail ride. Thanks for your time

The King Quads are great machines. I don't have a 2013 and can't speak specifically about that year. I have a 2006 Suzuki Vinson, a 2009 King Quad 750 and a 2020 King Quad 750. All are great machines. My son also had a Suzuki Ozark 250 which we were the fourth, or fifth owner of. I sold it to a good friend and it is still going strong.

I would verify that the first oil change was performed at around 100 miles. What type of oil was used? I would also ask who and what kind of use it was subjected to. Was proper break in procedure followed?

Check the dipstick. Make sure the oil looks clean. Check under the ATV for any visible damage. Look at the condition of the plastics. With that kind of mileage, it should look near showroom condition.

Good luck if you buy it. You will enjoy it for years.

I'll reiterated what John just said.. my experience is with two 2006 vinsons that i bought from a government (of Canukistan) auction 10 years ago and.love them.. absolutely flawless after being used and abused by the GRC (gravel road cops) from 2006 to 2010.. I'm pretty sure one of them had the original oil still in it. Deapite that both are great machines and continue to serve me well...
that was just a preamble to the King Quad.. i bought a 2005 new in October 2005 and have driven it since.. as of today it has 14600 km.. and despite having worked hard for at least ten years when it was my only snow plow veh.. pushing a 60 inch Moose County plow about 3000 km.. yup tou read that right.. it has needed the followkng long list of parts and repairs....

- oil changes every 500-800km

- replaced left from out CV boot at about 6000km.. my fault i was playing in the bush and didn't see the offeding stick till too late.. cost $30 for a boot and bought the tools to chnge it.. took 30 minutes

- CVT drive belt.. changed it last year at about 13000 km.... because i found a crazy good deal on a nearly new OEM belt on Ebay.. cost me $55 cdn.

And... i replaced the original air filter with a cleanable oil impregnated one.. $60 cdn

And that it..

In 15 years..

Yes I would recommend the King Quad.. you'll love it..

Ps.. to end this reply thats already too long...

The key to long belt life is to use low range everytime you pull anything or get in the goo or climb or plow... just sayin...

Funny thing about Suzuki's. They are well built, well engineered and generally all around great machines. I would have a problem buying anything other than a Suzuki if I was buying another ATV. I am a car guy. Its really hard to get a car guy to buy an ATV made by a company that makes cars he wouldn't ever consider buying. It's even more difficult to make him believe he can take that machine into the wilderness, drive it through dirt, mud, mountains, stream crossings, rocks and crazy inclines with complete confidence.

I do just that, and I do it every time I take any of our Suzuki ATVs out to places like Hatfield McCoy, or the Pennsylvania Wilds.
